The Ireland Session at the Colloquium aims to celebrate the success of the all-island partnership with The Cochrane Collaboration. The session will start with a brief introduction to the worldwide Cochrane Collaboration, and will go on to highlight the ongoing relationship between The Cochrane Collaboration, the Health Research Board and the R&D Office. The session will illustrate the opportunities for all health and social care professionals in Ireland to access The Cochrane Library database, get involved in the preparation of systematic reviews, make local, national and international links with other experts in their field and to develop new research ideas and proposals, and shape the health research agenda. The programme will also include brief snapshots of the experiences of Cochrane Fellows and enthusiasts from North and South of Ireland.
